synthesis proposal
The
Valdarno school-net includes a group of schools with different levels of
education concerning also education for
adults, brick-and–mortar institutions, evening schools for degree attainment, on the-job-training,
professional courses, English courses, Information Technology courses for
adults, adult literacy courses, pupils’ parents classes, immigrants literacy
classes and teacher training.
As some
issues emerged from the analysis of our territory’ needs, such as unemployment,
underprivileged people, immigrants, women and young people facing jobs
difficulties and people with special needs, it is significant to manage
training courses aimed to the reinstatement and the retraining in workplaces,
social inclusion, social competence, the promotion of active citizenship,
personal achievement towards long life learning and active ageing process and cross-cultural
communication improving the knowledge about the European cultural and social diversity.
The
project is aimed to the pooling and sharing experience among all the European partners in
order to achieve concrete and innovative results with indisputable European
value, identifying the right practice
and efficacy methodology to avoid the natural wastage and adapting the long
life learning process to the adult learners’ real needs as for as jobs, personal development, competitiveness and
employability.
We state
that giving more resources to adults orientation would be a strategic element for their social
inclusion. This project also seek to provide
a professional profile (trainer) for teachers and adult students providing them
with ways to improve their knowledge and skills, competence, teaching tools and
indications to be shared with other European countries. In addition, we foresee
to make an online tools kit containing
all the materials gathered during the project
time and to use it again in
future in order to improve the quality level for Adults Education and to
help make lifelong learning opportunities more widely known and available to
citizens.
