Summary of project:

Contents

The world of work is changing rapidly in the 21st century. This project addresses how HRD professionals in European countries have been addressing these changes. Which developments can be seen in the participating countries? What impact does ‘the new world of work/working remotely’ have on education and development, the learner’s own responsibility and the use of instruments e.g. e-portfolio’s to track development?
Objective is to get to know HOW professionals in other European countries address these questions in terms of educating personnel and enable to bridge any gaps between VET by institutions and organisations. Discover what instruments are used, exchange this knowledge, assess which forms of learning (e.g. how informal learning relates to this and IL relates to the culture of the specific countries) can be applied in the new world of working.

Objective is furthermore to build a network, which could lead to a TOI-project in the future.

These objectives are met when at the end of the project:

- participants have a better knowledge on the developments on the topic described above in the different countries

- a meaningful relationship has been created, in which the participants work together on the project and knowledge exchange. A culture of sharing knowledge has been established

- a first step is made towards a future exchange project (e.g. TOI)

All project documentation will be gathered and could be used to develop training contents/concepts/courses on the topic.

The project focuses on HRD professionals working in consultancies/HRD service providers and their clients (profit or non-profit organizations) and Training professionals in VET institutions.

From our side, our client Philips will be joining as Associated Partner in the project.

Duration:

2 years

Expiry date:

15FEB2011

Partner Requirements

Currently we are looking for Partners. Preferable partners are HRD consultancies from 4 or 5 European countries (well spread with regards to region: 1 partner from Eastern Europe, 1 from Southern Europe, 1 from North/Western Europe). The HRD consultancies are asked to invite their clients(as Associated partners in the project) who have been experiencing and addressing developments on ‘the new way of working/working remotely’ related to HRD and training of personnel.

Comenius_Partner_Netherlands

We are Dockingacollege, a secondary school in the small town of Dokkum.
Dokkum is situated in the coastal area of bilingual Friesland, in the north of the Netherlands.

We are searching for partners to join us in a new project. We are working with pupils at the age of 12-15 years old.
The themes we are thinking of are: trade, contemporary history, tourism, global warning up, arts, sports, tourism.
Of course we are open to any other suggestions.
We would appreciate it very much if you would be so kind as to consider our request.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us on this matter.
Maybe together we can make things work in a new project which will be worthwhile.
