EuroSkills event, September 2008

In cooperation with EuroSkillls, the Netherlands Association of VET Colleges and the National Centres of Expertise on Vocational Education, Training and the Labour Market, represented by their association Colo, host a mini-conference on Dutch qualifications, during EuroSkills 2008 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands

Content
In five coherent presentations the building of the Dutch Qualification Structure will be discussed. The qualification 'Hospitality/Bakery Entrepreneur 2007-2008 will be used as best practice.

  • A representative of the Dutch Ministry of Education will explain the development of the Dutch Qualification Structure and the interaction between vocational education and the labour market.
  • In the second presentation we will discuss how the Dutch qualification structure can be related to the European framework.
  • Next we will explain what a Dutch qualification looks like, utilizing the qualification 'Hospitality/Bakery Entrepreneur 2007-2008. We will discuss the necessary competences, task-analysis and the performance indicators.
  • The Europass Mobility Document and the Europass Certificate Supplement will be presented using the same qualification.
  • Two students who did their internships Hospitality/Bakery Entrepreneur abroad, will share with us their experiences.

Target audience
The mini-conference aims at representatives of European VET Colleges, intermediairy organizations, policymakers of European Ministeries, HRM-managers of business and organizations, etc.

The mini-conference will be held during the EuroSkills event which will take place in Ahoy, Rotterdam on September 18 - 20, 2008.
