Partnership Proposal - FORTES srl - Vicenza, Italy

Dear Colleagues,

My name is Andrea Cecchin and I am European Project Manager in FORTES SRL – Vicenza, ITALY.

I am writing to you in order to introduce our organisation that since 15 years  manages successfully European projects, tutoring of internships for European students and graduated, seminars and training programs for experts and teachers. Our core business is the “Leonardo da Vinci” program, but we are also  active in all LLP Programs. We are developing and improving mobility and cultural programmes by promoting them throughout Europe, increasing their quality and variety.

FORTES and CSR
FORTES srl , under its social vocation and its mission to promote the social, cultural and economic life of the people, wants to strengthen and clarify its commitment to carry out its core values. Hence our philosophy: FORTES SRL operational procedures are inspired by the principles of the European Corporate Social Responsibility (ISO 26000) and they are available in our Code of Ethics. We want to see ourselves  like  a working group that offers self-image of a cohesive team, reliable and professionally capable towards our young and old users that are following training courses. All actions towards them want to support both civil and professional growth.

Activities which may be of interest
If you are looking for an Italian Partner our organisations will be happy to support you in mobility projects (Leonardo da Vinci, Erasmus or other programs) so you might consider us as a new Italian partner with considerable experience.

We offer quality training placements in internship companies in Vicenza (Veneto Region, 70 km from Venice) for young students or workers who would like to immerse themselves in the Italian language and culture while improving their professional career.

Of course we also offer visits or Seminars for European experts who are interested in establishing links with and studying business in the Veneto region. We are in touch with a network of companies  in our region who are certified in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and social cooperatives.

We can organize learning/training experiences, even short term (2-3 weeks), for groups within the IVT. These programs include thematic workshops and visits to companies and educational institutions of the area (plus of course cultural visits).

Why Vicenza?
Vicenza is known worldwide for being artistic home of Andrea Palladio and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, but it is also an important industrial and economic heart of a province dotted with small and medium enterprises whose manufacturing base is at the first place in Italy for turnover in exports. So we can offer a large variety of companies, in  different economic fields available to host training students.

For further  information, we attach some documents about us and our activities. If you would like to find out more about us please contact our European programs department directly by e-mail to coord@fortes.it

Leonardo Partnerships_Iceland

Project title: Nursing Professional Practice Development (NPDD)
The motivation for this project is to develop efficient and safe nursing practice through practice development suited in different contexts. Emphasis is on the transfer of knowledge about successful practice development interventions, structure and evaluation of those.
Problem:  a) How can health care institutions effectively inform nursing practice and
b) how to create and sustain culture of ambitious development of patient care among nurses.

Topics to discuss (first ideas):  The definition of NPPD, objectives of NPPD, how to provide NPPD opportunities with emphasis on different educational strategies, structure of NPPD and evaluation of NPPD programs.

The objectives might be:
1. To have a common understanding of professional practice development in nursing
2. To learn and transfer knowledge about nursing professional practice development, it‘s structure and interventions in different health care institutions
3. Learn about or develop various ways to evaluate the process outcomes and patient outcomes of practice development.
4. To increase cooperation between health care providers and schools of nursing to prepare a common ground for nurses life-long learning.

Action: Form a mixed group consisting a) of those who develop and organize staff development at health care institutions and b) faculty from nursing schools from 5 European countries. Through mail and work meetings the group will form a "tool box" of efficient ways to provide nurses with opportunities of NPPD that meets the needs of patients for safe and effective care. All participants will add to the general and specialized knowledge of the topic.

We expect this project‘s activities to have impact on participants as they will learn from each other and stimulate thinking about NPPD. The participating institutions will benefit from the creation of an efficient and yet "individualized" plan of PD for the institution and the multiple interventions in the "tool box" at the staff development department.

Would you be so kind to publish on your website the attached Icelandic request for partner in partnership project?
We are looking for health care institutions - department of staff development or chief of nursing or Nursing schools as partners.

Thanking you in advance,
The IS NA team.

Good morning,

I'm writing you to inform your institution that my organisation, Laboratorio CreActiva, is now a hosting organisation for Leonardo mobility.
In attachment a presentation with our
objective of participating in the Leonardo mobility program.

I hope to start collaborations with your country and have the opportunity to host your citizens.

Best regards,

Dear National Agency representative,

I am writing to you as a representative of VSI Anglu Kalbos Studija, a small company working in the area of education located in Vilnius, Lithuania. Recently we have got very interested in the opportunity to participate in Lifelong Learning Programme and to collaborate with your country.

We would like to offer our company as a place for program participants to come and improve their qualification. However, we are not quite sure as to the documentation necessary. Could you please provide us with the information regarding all the steps we should make in order to appear in your country's database and to be able to participate in LL Programme as a host country?

We are specialising in children and adult language teaching, the primary language being English (also German and French). We have a strong culture of teaching by communicating, rather than by learning rules and reading, thus we believe that having a chance to share an experience of language and its teaching with foreign teachers would be a big step forward for both sides.

Please let us know what the possibilities are.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Best wishes :)

Summary of project:

Contents

The world of work is changing rapidly in the 21st century. This project addresses how HRD professionals in European countries have been addressing these changes. Which developments can be seen in the participating countries? What impact does ‘the new world of work/working remotely’ have on education and development, the learner’s own responsibility and the use of instruments e.g. e-portfolio’s to track development?
Objective is to get to know HOW professionals in other European countries address these questions in terms of educating personnel and enable to bridge any gaps between VET by institutions and organisations. Discover what instruments are used, exchange this knowledge, assess which forms of learning (e.g. how informal learning relates to this and IL relates to the culture of the specific countries) can be applied in the new world of working.

Objective is furthermore to build a network, which could lead to a TOI-project in the future.

These objectives are met when at the end of the project:

- participants have a better knowledge on the developments on the topic described above in the different countries

- a meaningful relationship has been created, in which the participants work together on the project and knowledge exchange. A culture of sharing knowledge has been established

- a first step is made towards a future exchange project (e.g. TOI)

All project documentation will be gathered and could be used to develop training contents/concepts/courses on the topic.

The project focuses on HRD professionals working in consultancies/HRD service providers and their clients (profit or non-profit organizations) and Training professionals in VET institutions.

From our side, our client Philips will be joining as Associated Partner in the project.

Duration:

2 years

Expiry date:

15FEB2011
