Referring to our phone conversation earlier this afternoon, I would like to send you some current information about
a) our organisation,
b) our project,
c) our partner search request, and
d) information on the conditions of the project
A) To begin, we would like to tell you something about SAT3. SAT3 is a non-profit organisation which supports NGOs through the creation and development of EU-projects in socially-oriented fields. SAT3 focuses on the concrete needs of NGOs providing or enhancing social services. Furthermore SAT3 provides for the procurement of financing and coordination for transnational and/or European proposals, competitions and grants. B) We apply for a project in the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme (GRUNDTVIG – adult education) of the European Commission. The leading partner is the Danish Red Cross, Asylum Department, we, SAT3, are the coordinating organisation.
The project aims at developing an EU-wide applicable support system for third country nationals (migrants, refugees and asylum seekers) to assist them in using the Europass and in assessing and recognising adequately especially their non-formal and informal competences. Enclosed you find an abstract of the project idea.
C) We are looking for a Bulgarian non-profit organisation, which could be interested in participating in the project as partner organisation. This organisation should have the following competences:
a) Working with the target group of third country nationals (migrants, refugees and/or asylum seekers)
b) Know-how in the field of online-services (Because we want to develop an online-tool with an online support system)
c) If possible: know-how in the field of auditing instruments and acknowledgment of non-formal and informal competences
D) Below you'll find some more information about the conditions of the project:
We want to apply for a multilateral project in the sub-programme GRUNDTVIG , under priority 4 "Improving validation of non-formal and informal learning”
• The duration of the project will be approximately two years.
• The total budget for the project will be approximately Euro 400.000,-.
• The partner organisation will receive for its respective part of the budget approximately 70% from the European Union. Approx. 30% has to be financed by the partner organisation itself.
• Deadline for the submission of the project proposal is 27 February 2009.
As the deadline is already in two months, we would be happy to hear from interested organisations as soon as possible. We would be very grateful, if you could give us any information on possible partner organisations or if you could forward this mail to organisations which may be interested.
